vintage jacket
Forever 21 pants
DIVEDED by H&M backpack
Dr. Martens Cherry Bomb boots

Backpack ridiculously too tiny + jacket ridiculously too humongous = wtf was I thinking? Besides the fact that I get bored and love too experiment with different formulas of random, unconventional ways of wearing shit. Slim it down half way keeping the material the same texture to validate some type of sanity and then chunk it out at the bottom to balance out the chunk on top. nerd for sure and utterly for life....

 Kill City leopard denim vest
H&M tank
J Brand x House of Cunanan shorts
vintage belt

This summer was completed with my beloved leopard vest. Distressed denim + leopard print = perfection! I love when 2 of my favorite things are synchronized. Especially when it's 1 part grunge and 1 part chic! and that is what Cemaka vs. Troy is all about. Cemaka is vintage glam while Troy is minimal: utilizing classic and grungy basics. We ground each other and together we complete the epitome of androgynous perfection. At the end of the day we are pretty much the same person as we cross over and overlap regardless of our sheer duality. Yea it's a Gemini thing.... This strapback though. Obsessed, it is from my little brother's friend's clothing line and  this one specifically... from my little brother... Damn I want one but whatevs I gave my little bro this H&M tank so I think it's fair trade to let me at least rock his shit. Again, the chic snakeskin detail strap on this baseball cap makes grunge and glam find common ground. So with all that has been said here should I purchase THIS? That might be doing too much, concept overkill attacking my wardrobe! Tired and ready to dozzzzzzzze off.

The Damned Coltman cutouts

FINALLY. I obtained the virtuous pair of shoes that I have been literally drooling over forever while basically risking myself a heart attack when I dare look at the Balenciagas. I remember how flabbergasted I was when I  These are personally a departure from docs and tuks, for me.  The cutout is utterly avant-garde and they buckle like Birkenstocks! WTF! At last, a solid, equally wearable and editorial shoe has made it's more than welcome way into my closet and makes me feel edgy and chic like Vouge Paris' Emanuelle Alt. Just to continue name dropping, I was inspired by Stella Tenant wearing her Balenciaga cutouts in every cool, androgynous and stylish way possible. They really validate the living hell out of a simple outfit consisting of basic jeans. These Balenciaga knockoffs are a dream come true... once you break them in. So glad I broke mine in as quickly as possible because I like the fact that they don't look so obvious and do look a little grungy and worn in spite of how much I loved the way they looked all polished and sleek when I first got them. Can't wait to break them in some more at Ziggy in Del Mar tomorrow :)

Just in: I finally bought a fresh new pair of sneakers!  Vans...nope. Chucks...napes. Generic Surplus' mesh sneakers. Finally a low key, low top with just the right detail to make me feel chic when I actually feel like blending in just slightly more with the unfussy dress code of North County San Diego. Yay to basic, beachy and classic shoes [with a slight twist]! Paying attention to detail is a fun sport. And to think that I declared that I would not buy shoes with laces for a long time once I started noticing that I have a perverse preference for shoes that keep my feet harnessed, strapped and buckled. I bought them on pure excitement-induced impulse at Grandeur in Oceanside of the 101 and felt utterly great about blowing potentially-much-needed-for more-important-crap-money on them. The simple fact that it has actually been a goal of mine to one day walk into, discover and purchase the perfect pair of kicks from Grandeur, but never could quite find what i felt was me until now....and the fact that I didn't buy them in a color always worth spending on when it comes to shoes especially: BLACK, proves that this beautiful pearly opal color will have a chance proving itself as a staple neutral to the completion of many casual outfits. I'm obsessed with mesh and basically my beloved lived in Phillip Lim sandals inspired me to start collecting shoes that are not completely there with the appearance that they are still pending/loading/buffering/whatever. These shoes are the pair that mostly cover up my as of lately, ubiquitous scantily clad feet.
